By using the Service, you confirm that:
- You have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.
- The information you provide during registration or rental is accurate and complete.
We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone at our discretion.
Our Service allows customers to rent portable powerbanks from our rental stations. Each rental transaction may include:
- A refundable deposit fee
- A rental fee billed in 30-minute increments
The applicable fees will be displayed on the rental station or within the application before the rental is confirmed.
A deposit fee is collected at the time of rental to ensure the return of the rented powerbank. The deposit will be fully refunded to the original payment method provided that:
- The powerbank is returned within the allowed return period.
- The powerbank is returned in normal working condition.
- The powerbank is returned to one of our authorized rental stations.
Deposit refunds may take several hours to process depending on the payment provider.
Rental charges are calculated based on the duration of the rental period.
- Charges begin once the powerbank is successfully released from the station.
- Charges stop once the powerbank is successfully returned to a station.
- Rental fees are non-refundable.
If the rental exceeds the maximum rental duration, the rate will cease from counting further. However, the powerbank must be returned to our authorized rental stations before the maximum return duration.
Each rental has a maximum rental duration which will be displayed on the web application or rental station. If the powerbank is not returned within the specified maximum rental duration:
- The deposit fee will be automatically forfeited.
- The deposit fee will not be refunded even if the powerbank is returned later.
- The rental may be considered a completed purchase of the device.
To complete a rental, the powerbank must be returned to a compatible rental station. A rental is considered complete only when:
- The powerbank is successfully inserted into a station slot, and
- The system confirms the return.
Users are responsible for ensuring the return is successful. If a station is full or unavailable, the user must return the powerbank to another available station. Rental charges continue until the powerbank is successfully returned.
You agree to take reasonable care of the rented powerbank. You may be charged if the powerbank is lost, stolen, not returned, returned damaged, or modified or tampered with. Charges for damage or replacement may be deducted from the deposit fee.
Users agree to:
- Use the powerbank only for its intended purpose.
- Not attempt to open, modify, or repair the device.
- Not use the device in a manner that may cause damage or safety risks.
To ensure the proper use and return of our devices, you acknowledge and agree that:
- We may use the personal information you provide (including but not limited to your name, contact details, payment information, and account data) to identify and contact you, and where legally permitted, assist in locating you or the device in connection with your rental activity.
- In cases involving unreturned devices, damage, loss, theft, suspected misuse, or violation of these Terms, we reserve the right to take reasonable actions to recover our property. This may include contacting you directly, using your provided information for investigation, and cooperating with law enforcement or relevant authorities if necessary.
- You consent to our use of your information for these purposes, in accordance with applicable laws and our Privacy Policy.
We will only use such information to the extent necessary to protect our business, enforce these Terms, and recover company property.
All payments are processed through approved payment methods available on our rental stations or applications. By completing a transaction, you authorize us to charge the applicable rental fees and deposit fee in the event of non-return beyond the allowable return period.
Pricing may change at any time but will be displayed before a rental is confirmed.
If you choose to link your Maya wallet to Ubriq, you authorize us to charge your wallet automatically, without further action from you, for each subsequent rental. Each charge will reflect the actual fee for that rental as calculated at the time the powerbank is returned.
You may unlink your Maya wallet at any time in the app. Unlinking takes effect for future rentals only; charges already initiated will complete.
If a charge fails for any reason (including but not limited to insufficient wallet balance or wallet deactivation), the unpaid amount will be recorded as an outstanding balance on your account. You will not be able to start a new rental until the balance is settled. Outstanding balances may be settled in-app via any supported payment method.
By creating an account or completing a rental, you agree that Ubriq may use your name, phone number, and email address to send you service updates and promotional communications about Ubriq products, services, partners, and offers.
You may opt out of promotional communications at any time by replying STOP to any SMS, clicking unsubscribe in any email, or contacting support. Opt-out applies to promotional messages only; you will continue to receive transactional messages related to your rentals (e.g. payment receipts, outstanding balance notices) for as long as you have an active account.
We do not guarantee that rental stations will always have available powerbanks, that stations will always have available return slots, or that the Service will operate without interruption. We reserve the right to modify, relocate, or remove stations at any time.
Users are responsible for locating an available rental station for return. If a station is full or unavailable, the user must return the powerbank to another available station. Rental charges continue until the powerbank is successfully returned.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Futurd shall not be liable for damage to user devices, loss of data on devices, interruptions in service, or indirect or consequential damages.
Users rent and use the powerbanks at their own risk. Compatibility with all devices is not guaranteed.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the Service if a user violates these Terms, engages in fraudulent activity, or damages company property.
In the event of technical errors, system malfunctions, or incorrect billing caused by software or network issues, we reserve the right to correct the transaction and adjust the charges accordingly.
Your use of the Service may require the collection of personal information. Our handling of personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will take effect once they are posted on our website or application. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts in that location.
